Inaugural Meeting Agenda:

Our objective is to convene in person, avoiding virtual platforms like Facetime, on a quarterly basis or more frequently if required, to delve into topics of interest to you. Ultimately, we aim for the club to be student-led, with the doctors contributing their support as needed.

  1. Introduction and Icebreaker: An opportunity for everyone to get acquainted and share their interests.

  2. Office Tour: Explore our professional facilities, including 2 pre-testing rooms, 4 exam rooms, optical and glasses dispensary, and our on-site optical lab, where lenses are cut and manufactured for frames.

  3. Selection of Student Board Members: Identify candidates for the positions of Vice President and Secretary among the student body.

  4. Employment Opportunities: Discuss potential opportunities for volunteer or part-time employment at an optometrist office.

  5. Summer Employment Options: Explore opportunities for summer employment in the field.

  6. Feedback and Input Session: Your thoughts and suggestions will play a vital role in shaping the format and topics for future meetings.

We eagerly anticipate your active involvement in our inaugural meeting, which will contribute to the success and direction of the Arizona Pre-Optometry Club. As soon as three additional students join, we will proceed to schedule events and lectures.
